Top 7 essential oils and its uses

The Essential oils:

The essential oils are 100% pure, concentrated, aromatic natural chemical compounds extracted from various parts of a plant like leaves, flowers, stem, roots, barks etc...
They are free from mineral oil and nothing artificially added for fragrance.

The unique properties of these oils are:
  • Treats skin and hair problems
  • Supporting the respiratory, digestive or other systems.
  • Helps to relieve stress and balancing emotions.
  • Acts as a natural cleaner, deodrent, perfumes etc...
Most of the people were already aware of these essential oils but don't know how to use it. Here, I'm going to explain about the most top 7 essential oils and its uses.
 
1. Lavender essential oil:

This oil is well known for its soothing and relaxing properties, so this is something you can use to sleep better. using a few drops on your pillow or keep it on a tissue paper near your head will help you to sleep better. It also good for healing the skin problems like dryness, itchiness and sunburns. Mix a few drops of this oil to your regular moisturizer or with an aloe vera gel to massage your face and keep it overnight. Do it regularly every night to see the visible difference.




2. Tea tree essential oil:

Lot of us are familiar with this oil that it has a strong antiseptic property which has the ability to treat wounds. Other than that it is really good for healing acne, cold sores, chickenpox, fungal infections, bad breath etc... It is also very effective to fight against dandruff by mixing a few drops of this oil to the coconut oil or with your favourite shampoo.  




3. Lemongrass essential oil:

This oil has a lemony kind of scent. It is used to massage the body to give a calm, soothing effect by mixing a few drops of it to any kind of carrier oil like almond oil, grape seed oil or olive oil which boost and energise your skin instantly. You can use this for creating a really nice energizing environment by adding a few drops to your diffuser. 





4. Peppermint essential oil:

This oil has a refreshing, mentholic kind of scent. It helps to relax the muscles. You can add this into a foot soak by adding a few drops on a tub of warm water, it not only relax your tired feet but also refreshes your whole body. It helps to treat the sunburns and irritations of your skin and also be used in diffusers to get that spa kind of feeling.



 
5. Ylang Ylang essential oil:

This one has a very distinct floral scent. This is something very good in anti-aging properties so you can add a few drops of it to your night cream or aloe vera gel and massage it into your face, every night. Within a few weeks, you can notice that your skin feels a bit firmer and little more youthful. This is also a very good mood booster so you can use it on your handkerchief or on a diffuser to get the benefits of its mood-lifting quality. It also helps to conditions your hair by mix 3 drops of it to the carrier oil like almond or olive oil and massages it all along the lengths of your hair to get that silky soft texture.


6. Citronella essential oil:

This oil has a lemony zest kind of scent. It is a very good natural insect repellent. Add a few drops to your body lotion or coconut oil and apply it all over your body to get away from mosquitoes and other insects. By adding some drops to your diffuser you can repel any kind of mosquitoes and insects from your room. As far as the benefits go, it helps to control the excess oiliness, by adding a few drops to your moisturiser, it going to help just balance out the oil production in your skin. If you have an oily scalp, then mix some to your hair oil and use it regularly to control the oiliness. Because of its refreshing and uplifting scent, you can use it as an aromatherapy. It also helps to cure a headache and anxiety.


7. Rosemary essential oil:

This has a woody kind of a scent which treats hair fall. By mixing it with coconut oil, it stimulates the hair growth, controls dandruff, prevents baldness, slows greying and treats dry scalp problems. It helps reducing stress and boost concentration. you can use a few drops on your handkerchief or somewhere that you keep close by, tends to improve memory and reduces cancer risks.


Essential oils are highly concentrated and so potent, that a single drop of oil can equal to multiple teaspoons of the dried herbs. This means" less is more".

   Note:
