How to make Homemade chocolates

Festivals and holidays are approaching, this is the right time to impress your family and friends with gifts.

What you gonna do? still thinking? 😩 no worries, I got an excellent idea. Yes, surprise them by making homemade chocolates. Everyone loves chocolate, I'm one among them who obsessed 😍 with it since childhood.

Chocolates are the most delicious and meaningful gift, and it is a special way of telling your dear ones that you love them a lot. It is literally easy to make homemade chocolates for you and your family, they're so 😋 yummy that no one will guess how easy it is.

Here I'm going to share one of my all-time favourite and simple recipe using only 5 ingredients, which I inspired in a recipe book a long time ago.

okays ... without dragging much, let's move on to the recipe.

Ingredients:

Cocoa powder - 5tbsp
Milk powder - 100gms
Butter - 3tbsp
Sugar - 2/3 cup
vanilla extract - 1tsp
water - 1/2 cup

Preparation:

Step 1:

Sieve the cocoa and milk powder and keep it aside, this will help in making the chocolate more creamy and soft.

Step 2:

Bring the water to a boil and add sugar to it, reduce the flame and wait till it reaches one string consistency and removes it from the flame.

Step 3:

Add butter and vanilla essence to the syrup, stir it nicely so that the butter melts and blends with it completely.

Step 4:

Now, gradually add the cocoa and milk powder mixture, a few tablespoons at a time and mix thoroughly without any lumps to get a right texture. Now, our lovely and glossy choco mixture is ready.

Step 5:

Its time to add some mix-ins of your choice, I love to put almonds because the choco-almond combination kicks the taste buds to the next level. Go on and pour the choco syrup to the butter greased moulds and tap it gently to settle, now cover it with film wrap and place it in the fridge for about 2 hours.

Step 6:

Carefully pop them out and gift wrap it with colourful papers which are available online.

Do try this recipe and enjoy it with your family and make this festival a memorable one.

TIPS:

  • you can also mix some chopped nuts, dry fruits, shredded coconut, or mix-ins to customize your chocolate.
  • Don't have candy moulds? its ok, get creative and make your own. You can use ice trays, small paper cups, mini muffin trays or any type of containers as moulds.
